“I have been attending Photography Workshops led by David Akoubian since 1999. Dave has not only taken us to some of the most renowned photographic locations, he has trained us on how to properly capture the light of the most amazing sunrises and sunsets at those locations. Despite reading a number of books on the subject, David’s methods and techniques have become the definitive basis of my whole approach to Outdoor Photography.”  - Wilkie B., Jasper, Georgia

"I would just like to thank you for the recent Smoky Mountain workshop, my sixth workshop with you.  During each and every workshop, you have have not only provided excellent instruction, but always seem to put the workshop in the right place at the right time.  This combination has resulted in getting images that I am proud to hang on the wall.  I would highly recommend your workshops to anyone regardless of their photographic skills.
I am already looking forward to the next workshop.
Thank you for making me a better photographer." - Rob L., Alpharetta, Georgia

Oakland Cemetery with TamronNovember 7, 2009.  2pm - Sunset. The cemetery is both a garden and a showplace for sculpture and architecture. It is the final resting place of legends such as Bobby Jones and Margaret Mitchell. With its ancient oaks and magnolias it is considered a botanical preserve, but from a hilltop one of the best views of the Atlanta skyline is visible. The cemetery offers outstanding opportunities to photograph a large variety of subjects from botanicals to skylines at sunset. Come join us for this opportunity to see the cemetery and its historical value. David will demonstrate compositional elements involved in both architectural photography as well as the skyline panoramic image. These are a few of the images created at the event.

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens with Tamron:  November 8, 2009.  9am - 1pm.  The gardens offer excellent opportunities to photograph a large variety of botanicals. Spend some time viewing and photographing local plants that are currently in bloom. Enter into the Fuqua Conservatory and photograph botanicals from a variety of climates such as tropical and arid desert plants. Don’t forget to spend time photographing some of the incredible orchids inside the conservatory.
