Smoky Mountains Spring Photography Tour
The Spring Smoky Mountains Workshop is closed, check out the fall workshops while there is still room.
Join us for one of most spectacular locations in the United States for spring wildflowers. The Great Smoky Mountains boasts more wildflowers in the vicinity than most states. Wildflower enthusiasts journey from as far away as England and Europe each year to view the splendor. In addition to the wildflowers, the rivers are typically full, making river photography a priority also. The wildlife is abundant feeding on all of the new growth. Cool misty mornings make for foggy scenes.
Workshop sessions will include lessons on exposure, lighting, composition, and digital workflow. Critiques will be given while the locations are fresh in your mind.
There will be special sessions for macro photography techniques, including but not limited to, the Lensbaby Composer and the Optic Swap kit. We will also have sessions dealing with HDR images. Learn to shoot for HDR and how to work with software to create HDR images to enhance the look of your image.
We will base our operations out of Townsend, Tennessee, commonly referred to as the "Peaceful side of the Smokies". We have negotiated a discounted rate with the Econo Lodge in Townsend, TN. The contact person is Ashley and she will ensure the discounted price of $63.99 per night. They will hold rooms for us until April 1, 2009. There are a variety of alternative lodging options in Townsend should you choose to stay elsewhere.
Dates - April 17-19, 2008. Cost of Tour - $295.00. Lodging and transportation are the responsibility of the participant.
In order to provide more individual attention we will be limiting the workshop to 8 participants.
