The Grand Tetons in Fall
September 21-25, 2009. Cost $495.00
Join us for the jewel of the Rocky Mountains in it's fall splendor. Photograph colorful Aspens in the foreground of one of the world's most spectacular sights, The Grand Tetons. Visit and photograph locations such as Oxbow Bend, Schwabacher's Landing, the Snake River Overlook and the famous barns on Mormon Row. The Grand Tetons are rated the #1 National Park for viewing wildlife. The animals are at their prime during this time of year; elk, buffalo, moose and bald eagles are commonly seen.
Workshop sessions will include lessons on exposure, lighting, composition, and digital workflow. We will also have sessions dealing with HDR images. Learn to shoot for HDR and how to work with software to create HDR images to enhance the look of your image. Critiques will be given while the locations are fresh in your mind.
We will have special discussions on using Lensbaby lenses for landscape photography.
Grand Teton National Park is located just outside of Jackson, Wyoming. The area of Jackson Hole is home to many photographers and their galleries. Bring your spouse and family along to take in some of the local sights during the off hours. Float down the Snake River, ride horseback, or hike on some of the most scenic trails in America.
Space will be limited and sure to fill up fast! Travel and lodging is the responsibility of the participant. A variety of lodging is available in Jackson Hole, however we will be based at The Inn at Jackson Hole, and encourage participants to join us there. The Inn at Jackson Hole has agreed to give our participants a 10% discount off of the room rate by telling them you are with the Bear Woods Photography Group. We will have a brief, informal get-together on Sunday evening, September 20th, to prepare for the workshop which will start at sunrise on the 21st. The workshop will end after sunset on Friday, September 25th.
